DLC based and IAP is the future of gaming
So they have already chopped up the game and sold it to us piece by piece. How long before Bungie starts selling gear in game for real money? No chance to buy a gjallahorn from Xur. Bungie will sell you one for $19.95

Edited by Susano'o: 3/13/2015 10:09:25 AMThe EULA now states that games can not allow you buy gear with real money. It is that whole "pay to win" thing. So no they won't charge you money for a Gjallarhorn. I think this is what happened

They won't do that. People wouldn't stand for it. If they had more content at launch and started with cosmetic iap then that would have been fine.
