I'm glad my edits were useful :) Love to hear your line of thought behind the dialect and such, I had a feeling it was crafted that way, but again, slow day at work and all that :3 And you're absolutely right, there's no one right way of doing things, tbh I work in fundraising and when I first started copy-editing the written materials for our campaigns, it took me a few months to get over the fact that it's SUPPOSED to be written at an 8th grade level, because the hard science shows that donors respond better to copy written at that level. Words and written language are truly fascinating, because writing is one of those rare combinations of both art AND science. In order to truly be the most effective writer, you have to know when and where to apply each, and often the best approach is to use them in equal measure.
