In the beginning I used all three. By lvl27 I was playing mostly my hunter. (These days I enjoy my titam the most) As my fondness for my hunter is declining, I think I know why the hunter vs warlock rivalry. (From a hunters POV) First is the jumping: Hunters rely on accuracy, this also means jumps. A true hunter jumps ten time more than any one else. So seeing so much air time in one warlock jump make us a little jealous, but its way too slow. Thus floofing about. It seems kinda silly. Then theres blink. It the same. But it does feel like magic. I was hesitant with using it, it felt like a gimmick. I think there is more jealousy from warlock about hunters having this ability. Second is grenades: Hunter grenades blow, while warlocks have the best. But a hunter doesnt rely too much on grenades. So we looked down on warlocks because we don't care about area of effect skills. Were about presision. (A pride thing) Melee: Throwing knife= presission Blink strike. It seems like magic so warlocks are jealous. Energy drain/scortch= large area/ one target. Like a short range shotgun at all times. Plus over shield on hit. Having to stick your knife in a couple times can get a hunter killed. (Once agine it seems lick a gimmick, so hunter pride) Supers. Hunters GG. In pvp requires presission. And sometimes is a two shot for a kill. In pve its almost worthless. Blade dance. In pvp it has the potential to be the best. I personally don't find them to be a problem handling. And more than three kills doesnt happen that often. (A common misconception, just like nova bombs) In pve blade dance is a huge risk on higher levels, and really isn't ment for one target. Warlock nova bomb= area of effect. Good in both pvp and pve. Radiance. Spam grenades, and self rez. (Seems like a gimmick) Not know to many hunter outsiders, but within the hunter class are two separate mentalities. On for gunslingers and one for the blade dancer. Im a gunslinger. Chain of woe and gunlingers spirit. To me even blade dancers seem a little gimmicky. Just curious, but do warlocks have a bigger problem with gunslingers or blade dancers?
