No it goes like this:
Fish evolved into amphibians
Those evolved into reptile like animals
Than it split to the Dino's common ancestor and to the mammals (Tetrapods)
Theropods (T-rex, raptor, etc...) evolved feathers and evolved into birds.
Tetrapods evolved into mammals
Now I could give you an even longer answer but I'm too lazy to type a 10 page report
