  • That would be abiogenesis that is a completely different theory then evolution entirely. Your failure to know the distinction proves you are an idiot on this topic, and that anything you say is irrelevant because you have no clue what it is you are actually against. You want to be opposed to evolution fine, but you should understand what evolution entails first, and let me tell you answers in genesis is not the place to go to learn what evolution is really about. Might I suggest you read through some of the material on the website talkorigins.org, and familiarize yourself with the topic of evolution before you attack it that way at the very least you will know what it is you are attacking.

  • I'm the ignorant moron yet you don't know the difference between evolution and abiogenesis... Smooth move dick stain. I could easily school you on both evolution and the bible, but it would be a waste of my time, you can't fix stupid. My only advice to you is to kill yourself that way you can't piss in the gene pool.

Tough guy in real life too... 15 months in Iraq as lead gunner for an EOD team. 4 years as a cavalrymen in 3rd ACR. You do know what an EOD team is don't you? Been hit by 3 IEDs so that ignorant -blam!-tards like you can make yourself look like idiots on the Internet. Want to keep going scrub I could do this all day... Here let me help you un-blam!- yourself http://youtu.be/A_a6RjR_AHY Often, a non-Christian knows something about the earth, the heavens, and the other parts of the world, about the motions and orbits of the stars and even their sizes and distances, … and this knowledge he holds with certainty from reason and experience. It is thus offensive and disgraceful for an unbeliever to hear a Christian talk nonsense about such things, claiming that what he is saying is based in Scripture. We should do all we can to avoid such an embarrassing situation, which people see as ignorance in the Christian and laugh to scorn. The shame is not so much that an ignorant person is laughed at, but rather that people outside the faith believe that we hold such opinions, and thus our teachings are rejected as ignorant and unlearned. If they find a Christian mistaken in a subject that they know well and hear him maintaining his foolish opinions as based on our teachings, how are they going to believe these teachings in matters concerning the resurrection of the dead, the hope of eternal life, and the kingdom of heaven, when they think these teachings are filled with fallacies about facts which they have learnt from experience and reason. Reckless and presumptuous expounders of Scripture bring about much harm when they are caught in their mischievous false opinions by those not bound by our sacred texts. And even more so when they then try to defend their rash and obviously untrue statements by quoting a shower of words from Scripture and even recite from memory passages which they think will support their case ‘without understanding either what they are saying or what they assert with such assurance.’ (1 Timothy 1:7) - St. Augustine

  • No worries, I respect what atheists are about. I tend to take a more scientific perspective with my belief system. I don't believe in a personal God that intervenes in human affairs and demands worship. I don't think God is anything close to being human like which is why I think all religions have it wrong. About the closest to it would be Buddhism but that could hardly be considered a religion, it's more of a philosophy.

  • Zen Buddhism is my favorite religion due to it not having any gods. And hey, Buddha in my eyes is better then Jesus because at least the guy WORKED for his enlightenment.

  • Very true. That's one of the biggest problems with Christianity is it's not about seeking enlightenment and discovery but instead it's about adherence to ancient laws. That and you could be the biggest most ignorant turd on earth and all you have to do is accept Jesus and you are good. There is no actual incentive to seek spiritual enlightenment and greater understanding of our world. It's the stringent obedience that is the reason many Christians have issues accepting the realities of our universe.

  • Very true. In fact, if you have Xbox One, then I invite you to join my clan: The Amazing Atheists. We already have some members, and right now it's starting to somewhat grow. But still, you seem like a pretty intelligent person, who actually has a higher understanding than just: Religion Bad! No Religion Good!

  • Unfortunately I'm on ps4. But you have pretty much summed it up, science can prove a lot but in reality it can make no assertions as to the existence of a higher power or not. That's probably the most insulting thing about religions war on science is that scientists aren't out to disprove God. In fact if someone were to scientifically prove the existence of God tomorrow that person would win the noble prize. But there just isn't any evidence there to suggest there is or isn't a higher power. There however is a lot evidence that shows the bible is false and it's pretty obvious to an educated person.

  • Yeah, plus we have another Amazing Atheists clan on the app right now if you want to join that. But your right, science is about finding answers to life's most mysterious aspects, as well as learning about our universe. I feel as if religion provides a more simple explanation, but Also one that is taken way too seriously. That is why I think it is important for people to not only Learn about science, but also have an understanding for religion due to it's interesting morals and viewpoints on life.

  • If a theory is proven wrong in part or in whole it's the theory that has to change. With religion they try to make the evidence fit their beliefs rather then allowing the evidence to shape their beliefs. What good is the truth when you choose to accept a lie.

  • That isn't all about evolution. It doesn't have to evolve from a microorganism to be defined as evolution
