i actually like this layout, the only adapting going on for me is adapting to being unbanned

Your post is also an opinion, and as we all know it is no more valid than the OP's. Thing is, he gave reasons as to why he felt this way, whereas you just said "opinions".

short answer: i like everything about bungie.next. everything runs smoothly, it's actually not that hard to follow the progression of threads for me, i find the hashtag system easy to use, the layout looks pretty, the additions to the site such as notifications, conversations, following, hiding/muting, etc. are awesome, and i still think that bungie is a unique site.

Good points. Each side has good arguments. We'll see how Bungie finishes this off.
