Ok, also I suggest we find a large mountain range, use lots of explosives and create a clearing in the Centre of it, then set up large amounts of AA guns and have fighter jets patrol the sky's out of the AA guns range. It would take orbital weaponry to break through this

I like it. The mountain thing is cool and the air patrol is nice.

Imagine trying to move a suitable assault force through those mountains, the "enemy" would be forced to use only infantry, and there may be losses as they work their way through, only flaw is we would need to fly our units out and would require suitable space for an airport to be able to get planes large enough to move things like tanks and APCs out of the mountain range

Multiple satellites should be launched in a fixed orbit to monitor the areas around the empire in case spy's are sent through the mountains
