Okay, so its no secret that a large majority of current high level players have all the same armor, the raid armor. If i remember correctly one of the big things pre-launch (oh yeah, all that time ago) was that you could build your guardian however you like. And while that's still true, it is impossible to have a high level, well functioning character without wearing all raid (+ an exotic, maybe). So here we have all the guardians dressed in Crota loot, with different shaders being their only outlet for individuality.
Now imagine this. Your guardian wearing that armor from when you were, say, lvl 18 (don't cringe) and you feel special, even though you weren't as good as you are at 32. I feel like it would give more singularity to every guardian if they had an option to imbue older armor with higher light stats. It would give guardians more options to make themselves look as badass as they can be, and still be, and feel individual, but also be that high level they are hoping for.
Another option is Transmog, a topic critically under-debated on these forms, but an interesting one no less. For anyone who doesn't know, its basically giving one piece of armor, the appearance of another. Like, lets say you love the stats of deathsingers gaze, but you don't like the design. Lets say you prefer the look of like, Locust Watcher I. Transmog would give the in game appearance of Locust Watcher, to deathsingers gaze, while retaining the general statistics and item info, followed by a little notifier tht its been transmogged. Transmogrification wouldn't be free, so maybe another use for the strange coins we aren't spending, or the motes of lights we also aren't spending.
I guess im just curious, what do you guys think? should this even be mildly important? or should everyone have the same armor to keep the high level stats?
