Thanks everyone for the posts. I do agree with many of you that watered down version of gjallarhorn is not going to be good solution. I just wished that Bungie would give me an opportunity at least to try fully leveled G-horn - to get the taste of what am I missing. I would like to do it before either game dies out or I quit. As with many exotics in the game - sometimes anticipation of acquiring a particular gun followed by disappointment of mediocre performance or average perks. This particular launcher seems to be highly praised by majority of players. Maybe I should have just petitioned Bungie for a shooting range somewhere on a Planet X - where you can buy for glimmer some test time.
