How to make Daily Missions Relevant Again...

Don't really care

So lately, I have not really been driven to do daily missions. It normally was a bit of a chore regardless, replaying a mission with very little variation or perks, just harder enemies - but it was worth it for the upgrade materials. Now however, after 30 it isn't really worth doing. Why? Because Ascendant materials are largely useless at the moment - Radiant materials is what most people 30+ require. Now this is my take on it... How about, instead of removing Ascendant materials as a reward from the daily (which would be a terrible idea seeing as some people require Ascendant materials still if they are upgrading older weapons, etc), why not add Radiant materials as a drop from doing the level 30 difficulty mission? * In my eyes, this would make the daily worth many players time to complete - giving much needed upgrade materials from an alternative source from the raid. Hopefully this thought gets a little attention, as it would be nice to see this implemented. Anyone else think this is a good idea? *Edit 1: On the subject of if you own TDB expansion or not, or if you still find Ascendant mats relevant - I'd like to clarify that I don't want to remove Ascendant mats as a reward, just to add in Radiant mats into the loot table for those who have the expansion, or for daily TDB only missions.

 • Nah. People who need the radiant shards/energies (for raid gear) raid CE. People who need ascendent mats (for vendor gear) don't need CE raid mats...so the daily makes sense. If you had friends that played Destiny but didn't raid (like I do) you would understand why ascendant mats are still important. Also, keep in mind we have A LOT of fellow players that did not pay for the expansion, so getting radiant materials is 100% useless to them since they don't need to get past level 30. Now, if you wanted to make radiant mats the reward for dailies for missions from TDB expansion, I would be ok with that.
