try using foam to help shape it( you can carve it), then you can primer and paint it. Be resourceful. Good luck bud. Can wait to see the end product

I'll have to see if we have any foam like that. I know we have the stiff foam board stuff but I'm not sure about softer foam. Good suggestion!

High Density Foam will work well. This last job I had, my co-worker would use it to make letters for signs. Works great for painting on, but costly. Might not work with the budget but something comparable too might work.
