Enemies all have factions, we know this. But why do we really only care about the Fallen's Factions?
I bet you can't name all the Hive groups, or Vex programmings, or Cabal Legions. But I bet you could name all the Fallen houses. Why? Why are the Fallen so much more interesting?

Vex programmings xD you made that one up didn't ya? They're called Minds
-
Because the fallen houses fight among each other and have significant differences, and story/lore relevance, while the other are pointless

It seems to me the fallen are our greatest enemy, supposedly the first to battle the guardians. They hold supremacy over more territory than any other enemy...they claim all our old worlds. They tried to wipe us out as a unified force, led by the devils. To me it also seems they're the most desperate, dangerous and unpredictable enemy....theres a reason we fight them first. The guardians should have concentrated on retaking earth instead of the disastrous war on the hellmouth.

Challenge Accepted, without looking at the grimoire. Hive - something Swarm - Disciples(?) of Crota - Blood of Oryx Vex - Sol Divisive - Sol Prohibitive - ? - ? - Descendants - ? Cabal - Sand Eaters - ? - Blind Legion Not too bad when working from memory.
-
Also A: they are the most interesting And B: they're the easiest names.

Another feeling I have is why they're so interesting is the fact they are our first introduction to a hostile alien species. They are constantly trying to salvage or occupy human golden age structures, they are our main obstacle to retaking what we lost.
