It is too easy to level up with "Expansion I: The Dark Below"

I've had two things on my mind for a while and I saw the open house thing; that you guys actually read your feedback tab, so I decided I would give it a shot. First off, now that you guys moved on to a second raid, its cool that you are trying to get as many people into the action as possible, but I think you may have done too much. When I first got Destiny (On the first day, I might add) I was excited from playing the Beta, and I played Destiny 24/7. I lived and breathed this game. I remember putting in days trying to get to level 30 from the VoG. This stuff was seriously time consuming, especially if your friends have certain times they get on, and you want to do it on multiple characters. With this being said, I think it's a little unfair to us early birds as people can now go to the Vanguard peeps in the tower and get 33 Light gear. My second point stems off of my first point. Now that there is an expansion out with bigger and better weapons, the stuff from the original game seem to be useless. The VoG is now pointless as you don't need to grind for a raid helmet, or to get an Aethion's Epilogue as there are better weapons and armor readily available. If you haven't beaten the main campaign in the original game, don't click below of course.
What about 'The Stranger's Rifle' you get for beating the game? It is super cool looking, but for something you get for beating the PvE campaign, it's really useless in PvE unless you want a gold nerf gun.
I guess I'm wasting my time by saying this, as you guys have already thrown this into action, but I just really wanted to get it off my chest. Is there anybody else who feels the same?
