Fool proof raid recruiting for random lfg teams
After countless failed raids with random lfg teams i thought it might be useful to devise a formula for figuring out whether a player should be added to your fireteam.
Since the formula has been created i have used it to determine who is suitable for my raid teams with a accuracy of 82%.
If the players grimiore score is less than 2500 than they are not experienced enough to handle themselves in a raid.
Simple game logic for destiny dictates that any player below 32 is a burden and will increase the time taken to complete a raid if at all. These players are looking to weigh down your team and expect you to carry them through.
For an added challenge bring along a warlock or three. Bungie gave them the self res to balance the squishiness of the class. Any suggestion that they make more orbs is a way for them to weasle their way into your raid team.
Gjallarhorns! You cant have to many. Players with this weapon are more likely to be experienced as the low drop rate of this weapon have forced many players to grind for it allowing them to become proficient at clearing stages.
Lfg posts. If an lfg post contains all of these phrases. Serious, quick run or 32s only, then you know that these players are professionals that want to succeed and not waste 5 hours of your time only to troll you
(grimiore score x level) + (possession of gjallahorn - warlock value) = experienced player.
Gjallahorn value = 50000
No gjallahorn = 0
Warlock value = 20000
Ideally you want a player score of 130000 or higher to be an experienced player.
Using this formula to pick my last 3 raid teams i have had the quickest runs so far.

I stopped reading at 2500 grimmor score , yea right , I can prob do way better than you and I prob have 1/4 hrs put into this game . Just because you play a lot does not mean you are good, we can all play as much as we want but 99% won't be pro - mlg grade gamers

I agree with the high grimoire score. Most of the time it is a sign of experience. People with low ones like to combat that but I have a relief when I look and the whole team has high ones.

8 RepliesThe Only problem I have is the Warlock hate, and it really isn't misplaced, most who main the class use self res as crutch for hard raids. But, if you are smart, a warlock with Radiant Skin can tank better, and deal more damage than just about any class during their super. Also, ignore the people that don't understand your post, you didn't say you couldn't do it without completing your criteria, just that it is much easier and faster if you do.

Meh considering I can solo most of this raid it dosent really matter of they are even somewhat competent/experienced we can get the job done all you really need are 1 or 2 good players and this raid is doable. (Or 1 legend himself that guys awesome)

2 RepliesYou are terribly wrong.I have a 2420 grimoire score and I have so much more experience with raiding than you do. Stop being an elitist. I take 3 31's in Crota hard each week because nobody else wants to, also they do not have the almighty Gjallarhorn. Gjallarhorn is not a must, and it does not make a guardian more valuable.

3 RepliesIm over 2500... But no ghorn... Yet i smash crota with the sword every time. (I do sb or boomer distracting on my titan) the only times we fail are when my team doesn't get crotas shield down or when someone else (who sucks shit) dies by boomers.
