That's very odd.
My Deathsinger's Grip can generates orbs when I get grenade kills, but they still work with the Sunburst ability.
I would like to point out that Deathsinger's Grip perks only work on Hive enemies. Plus it activates very rarely to begin with.

Ahh, that might be it then. I didn't know it only worked on Hive. I was testing it namely on Fallen.
