When the copyright infringement law went down towards hip hop musicians sampling jazz, funk and rock...when this happened, hip hop died.

If you say so bro. My iTunes library is filled with music that I call amazing hip hop by a range of talented rappers. I can appreciate that you're old school rappers were good, it's strange to me that you refuse to see the value and skill of the next generation.

The zeitgeist of hip hop has changed. That's why I can't get involved inside of it. There's an image at stake, and that's all the industry cares about. Selling out. Grown men listening to modern rap is childish.

Lol I'm not the ambassador of music. But lyrically hip hop sucks yes. But people listen to it much like how people do with reading. They use it to get away from real life and to put themselves in the shoes of the artist. Some people can't -blam!- bad bitches every day so they like to hear about those that do lol idk

That's why I hate hip hop. It's not music but a lifestyle, an image an ego. It doesn't exist without bitches and money and cars and grills. The complete opposite of what I grew up with in the 90s. I listen to Tribe Called Quest, Jurassic 5, Beastie Boys...etc. This is REAL hip hop. Everything else is retail corporate bullshit.

of course he can. and kanye isn't a musician. anyone can learn a couple of songs on a piano or strum a few chords on guitar. doesn't make you a musician. if he didn't act like such a self entitled douchebag all the time more people might like or even respect him.

He makes music he is a musician, just because he doesn't play an instrument doesn't mean he isn't a musician. Secondly, his actions don't determine the quality of his music and it is absurd to think otherwise.

to each his own. i'm not saying him being a douche determines the quality of his music. to clarify i can dislike a persons music, job, lifestyle, whatever and at the same time still like or even respect them as a person. just depends on how they carry themselves in life.
