What is Half-Life about? That race sounds pretty powerful if it were up against general technologically advanced races.

Basically; Earth scientists find safe haven dimension from the combine. Dimension invades earth Backwater combine city notices Brainwashes an army and reverse engineers their tech to be far superior to regular human tech This army conquers earth in 7 hours.
