I have a Titan that is level 28 and I've been working on that character ever since the release of the game. (I don't do much raids or strikes. Mostly pvps if that's a factor)
I just want to know how long would it take for me to have my Warlock and Hunter to the same level as my Titan.
And what would I necessarily have to do?

I made my titan with no legendary gear waiting for him and I got him to 30 in about 2 1/2 weeks

I made Hunter on Saturday and brought him to 28 by Sunday. I had a bunch of legendary hunter gear sitting in my vault that I got as random drops on my 2 Warlocks and 1 Titan, plus I bought a bunch of Hunter exotics from Xur. I decided to delete my second Warlock on Saturday and made a hunter which I rushed through the story to get to 20 then the gear brought me right to 28

If you are on 360 I could help.

If you have all rare 20 light armor you can get 25 or 26, something like that. Just watch for engrams

However long it takes to do the main mission (what, like 5-7 hours?) That'll usually get you to 20, or really close to it. Make sure you're doing bounties as soon as you can. From there... -Roc Strikes constantly -Constantly do bounties. You can usually finish out the PvE ones in about an hour if you grind hard. -Always do the daily at the highest level you're able -Find a way to finish The Dark Below; you get some decent equipment -Every time you see a public event, you do it. Beyond that, stock up on ascendant materials (shards/energy). Do events that'll get you Vanguard Marks, too, like Strikes. You'll need as many as you can to purchase Legendary armor from the vanguard mentors. Doing PvE will also let you get a LOT more engrams, which can sometimes turn into good things.

PvP is actually one of the slower ways to rank up. The best way is to spam Roc strikes and get armor and material to get you to 31. Honestly I got my warlock and titan from 20 all the way to 28 in one second by not dismantling the legendary gear that came from engrams. The only annoying part about that is you'll have to farm class material but that's easy.

One day of solid gaming. Play each mission in order with heroic modifier until your lvl isn't quite on par. Then start doing the strikes. Take advantage of the XP rewards.

If your on xbox 1 I can help you with strikes, bounties and raids.
