Thanks for the feedback! While I can't guarantee any changes, I am going to forward the issue along. If you do come across any offensive clan names, please alert one of our volunteer ninjas or mentors. If you see an offensive clan name in the game, their name will be the same on Bungie.net, so you can grab their group URL here on the site when you send it to one of the ninjas or mentors.

Siffo do you guys ever do anything other than make excuses. Seriously kids play your damn game and you cant guarentee a name change foe theRapists clan? You guys at bungie need to get a grip before people start putting this stuff on the international news.

You can report any clans violating our Code of Conduct through the website or app using the report button.

Siffow, Thanks for the reply. At this time the game allows for in-game reporting of offensive gamer tags only. It seems the possibility of foully offensive clan names being created was not considered. Unfortunately these kinds of clan names are present. How do we reach out to the ninjas or mentors ?

Hello Hylebos, I was told by one of your fellow mentors that time on the app does not effect becoming a Mentor. However all mentors, I believe belong to the welcoming committee, but if I try to apply it says it's not open to new players. Does time apart of Bungie.net actually effect this or not. I've been playing since Halo 3 but just recently made an account. Thanks for any and all information in advance.

Hey Ibiteurface, normally a private group on Bungie.net has three different ways to deal with membership requests: 1) Open to New Members - Anyone can join the group instantly once they request membership. 2) Open to New Members, with Admin Approval - Anyone can request to join the group, an admin can accept or deny their request. 3) Closed to New Members - Nobody can request access to the group. Currently the Welcoming Committee is using Option 3, by closing the group to new members, we avoid a huge queue of membership requests from building up which allows us to more quickly add new Mentors when the time comes as we don't have to sort through about 1,000 requests to find them. It's not a specific statement of "You're too new to this site so you can't be a Mentor!", my fellow mentor was correct in saying that account age doesn't affect whether you become a Mentor or not. Hope that clears things up!
