I approve this is very commendable their DLC plan for Witcher 3.
I was quite impressed with Witcher 2 the little I played, have to devote some more time to this gem.
Actions like these make you want to support companies like this, I am going to buy this game as it looks good and I support these good practices, won't pre-order but will buy it.
If only other companies learned from this.
Also bang on with your point of the exclusive pre-orders for Halo at different retailers, that was total bs.

Is the witcher really that good? It seemed overcomplicated and needlessly dark to me. This whole DLC thing is not nearly as big of a deal as the community makes it out to be.

The Witcher is, in all honesty, more about the story than the gameplay. You know how games have the tagline 'your choices matter?' The Witcher series is one of the only games I've ever felt deserve that saying. Characters live and die like in other games based on choices, but there is more. Entire sections of the game change based on choices- there are actually entire plotlines based on a single massive choice. Things like that. And unlike games with good and bad choices, Witcher has no good or bad choices. Witcher just has bad choices and worse choices. Shades of grey, and you have to choose which one to support. The lesser of two evils. That's what the game is largely about to me. And that's why I've found it so fascinating.

...No offense but that kind of sounds horrible. Why would I willingly do that to myslef when I already have to deal with stress like that in real life? You also make the game out to be needlessly depressing. Which, given the last few months, isn't an emotion that I need more of. The game just doesn't appeal to me. Honestly when I saw it in gaminformer I skipped over it beacuse I wasn't interested.

...I don't watch Breaking Bad. Or the Sopranos Hell, I don't even watch TV anymore. Look, the game just doesn't look like it's for me. I might grab it if it ends up free for Xbox live again, but otherwise I have Xenoblade Chronicles or Mass Effect for some sweet RPG action.

You make it sound like you can't see how anybody would want to play a game such as that. I provided popular examples of millions of people wanting to have experiences like that. Takes a little getting used to, I know the DLC isn't a massive deal just some skins, few new missions. It's a step in the right direction, if we support games that do this hopefully other developers will follow suit.
