Just happened to me yesterday with a special weapon legendary engram. Very frustrating. 2 ascendant materials for a legendary engram!!! Terrible game design. Give me the legendary gear and I can very easily dismantle it on my own if i don't like it.
At least a legendary item might have different or more useful perks or be something different. 2 ascendant mats!?! Epic fail.

Exactly! My last 4 have given me nothing but shards. Only getting 2 shards/energies from an engram that could give armor or a weapon that I then can break down for 3 shards/energies is a kick in the balls. I rarely come across legendary engrams. So give me at least 3 or 4 shards/energies if you're going to pull this shit Bungie... smh

It's just annoying because I have atleast 400 if each shards and energy and they're pointless

I don't have nearly that many materials and I still don't want them instead of a legendary item. A legendary engram should give a legendary gun or armor. Not 2 mats.

I want the legendary primaries.....not these stupids Mats......the last three engram's have done this to me too.

Very frustrating. It isn't like I get Legendary Engrams dropping all over the place. Then you find a purple engram, get all excited to see what you got, and get shafted with 2 mats. Awful reward. Feel like I'm getting pennies for a dollar in exchange.
