Change what NEEDS to be changed, not something that wasn't a problem to begin with.

Except that there are those that believed that this NEEDED to be changed. That is the issue, there really are 3 groups - people who don't really care (me), people who NEEDED this to be changed, and people who NEEDED this not to be changed. You can't satisfy all three groups.

I understand what you're saying but I think there are a lot of other things bungie can do before they did this, it just upsets people more when they won't address the actual problems with this game.

Bungie is more than 1 person. A team dedicated to fixing the strikes does not hinder the work that the team dedicated to fixing the raids does, plus the strike team doesn't necessarily have the ability to just step into the raid team's work to help them because of the time it would take said team to bring themselves up to speed with the raid teams work.
