What you're describing is called confirmation bias, nothing more. If you are rolling dice and want to roll a specific roll, you're going to think that there must be something wrong with the dice because you keep rolling everything but what you WANT to roll.
Go play cards with the intention of getting dealt a certain hand... See how far that gets you.
