I've said it before, but the rarest items in the game are hands down the faction ships. There is nothing even remotely close to how rare these are. In all my play time, I have never seen one in person. Not for me, not my friends, not with randoms, and not in the tower. Indeed I've only seen one screenshot of the new monarchy faction ship taken by a streamer I follow, and he saw it parked in the tower.
I've seen a few fourth horsemen. It is rare, but nothing compares to the faction ships.

A buddy of mine has the dead orbit ship. He thought it was a big deal too. Look pretty cool.

Someone on reddit did a test - 100 faction ranks in dead orbit. I believe he got two ships out of 100 ranks. One at 50ish, and around 80-90. That's crazy rare.

That's determination, and a lot of wasted time.

Exactly. That's what makes them so rare - very few people will ever get them. I know I'm certainly never going to try. Way to much of a time investment unless you get incredibly lucky and get one early on.
