Rarity, by definition, must be only on things that are obtainable.

  • It is obtainable. One person has it. That it isn't obtainable by most people is exactly what makes it rare.

  • Not obtainable. No one can currently obtain it. One person has it because Bungie themselves gifted it specifically to that single person.

  • Bungie gifting it is a method of obtaining it, is it not?

  • Not to the public you dolt. The gun is currently unattainable. There is no easy for anyone to get it. Therefore it is not "rare" it is unattainable.

  • It is unattainable for almost everyone. If absolutely no one had it, I would agree with you, but since there is exactly one person who has it that makes it the rarest. That's a simple fact. The original post didn't ask what the rarest item that can be obtained through normal play is, it asked what the rarest overall is.

Rarest over all, yes. Fate of all fools is not rare, it is unattainable. And your statement of "almost everyone" is incorrect as well. NO ONE can obtain that weapon currently. To say almost everyone cannot, is to say that some can, when in truth, none can.
