Rofl you can't count a weapon only 1 person has at the moment. It's not obtainable by anyone, it has no rarity.

Why not? One person has it, and thus it counts. He didn't ask what the rarest weapon everyone can obtain is.

It is still, technically speaking, the rarest because one out of millions has it. If it's obtainable by everyone else is irrelevant.

Rarity, by definition, [b]must[/b] be only on things that are obtainable.

It is obtainable. One person has it. That it isn't obtainable by most people is exactly what makes it rare.

Not obtainable. No one can currently obtain it. One person has it because Bungie themselves gifted it specifically to that single person.

Not to the public you dolt. The gun is currently unattainable. There is no easy for anyone to get it. Therefore it is not "rare" it is unattainable.

It is unattainable for [i]almost[/i] everyone. If absolutely no one had it, I would agree with you, but since there is exactly one person who has it that makes it the rarest. That's a simple fact. The original post didn't ask what the rarest item that can be obtained through normal play is, it asked what the rarest overall is.

NO ONE can obtain that weapon currently. To say almost everyone cannot, is to say that some can, when in truth, none can.
