That's exactly why he was rejected by a lot of the Jews. They pictures the messiah coming like a king, all glorious and such. But that's not at all what their scriptures said. No he came humbly as a servant. He did miracles of healing and awesome powers and yet he was crucified. And his crucifixion was for us so that if we believe he is the son of God and put our faith in him then we are made right in Gods sight, and therefore we are saved from punishment in hell for our sins.
