The peacekeeper from blops 2 smg with good impact but lower range. Beast for certain parts of the raids and good for smaller maps in pvp

A grenade launcher as a secondary or primary. Kind of a cross between small arms and a heavy weapon; easier to get ammo for than a heavy weapon (but less damage) and more damage than a normal weapon (but slower firing and with less ammo).

Thought they said weapon type could be wrong. Melee, rail gun, grenade launcher, beam weapons, flamethrowers but with all different element types, then maybe something absolutely crazy that I haven't thought of before. And beards the ultimate weapon. But the game really could use melee weapons. Lore already says guardians have used them past just the hunters knife. Balancing could be an issue thought. They could classify the weapons over multiple slots. Primary- light one hand and dual wield weapons, lightning fast attacks but weak damage. Special- katana, light 2, 2 handers, one light melee + a shield, would be mostly mid damage mid speed, shields + would be mid speed low damage but excellent defense. Heavy- big 2 handers axes ext, mid + shield. High damage low speed except shield + low speed mid damage. Basically there'd be a melee weapon for most any situation and they don't need ammo but you lose 1 gun slot. Each type would require different strategies and fighting styles to master. And maybe if Bungie was nice these could benefit from light switch modifiers.

Titans have flash bangs dropped in vacinity to stun all enemies. Warlocks have void portals opened up to allow players to move from cover to cover or nova rain that damages all enemies with a burn, stagger or just makes them run fr cover/scatter Anti material rifles (would do normal damage to enemies but to Devi walkers, vehicles it does more damage) Fusion (cutter) rifles: you pick a shape for the bullets to go in (increasing accuracy) but decreasing impact or range (ie in the shape of an x,I, -, / ,\ etc. shotguns with longer/shorter/ more barrels increasing and decreasing spread/stagger. Also allowing less ammo loaded but more buck spread self loading pistols: weaker than hand cannons but faster, more accurate and can use different calibers(perks) to stagger enemies wen unshielded Sub machine guns: no range, no stagger, no elements, but rof, impact and stability, limited mag size. Mountable heavy guns: 2man operated, very vulnerable but high risk with high reward Rocket launcher...mortar: set up target using ghost, takes loading time, mortar shells do specific damage type with effect, limited/no perks Pulse rifles with adjustable burst Dual wield: small arms Melee Weapons replacing melee/weapon slot: takes on element, adds agility, deals greater damage based on consecutive hits, remain in first person view, limited lunge. Element thrower: void would be swirling erratic purple thrower that has lots of powerful in actuate ammo. Solar would be limited wide spread ammo with moderate power, arc would be longer thinner slightly less powerful with lots of ammo. All enough to disorient enemies or make them scatter.

I'd prefer no new type. Anymore and weapon purposes will begin to dwindle and some will feel useless, which is how I kind of feel with 4 primary types. A 3rd heavy would be nice. Like an anti-tank rifle or something.

Turrets for the titan special ability(last 30 seconds) Summon knight, captain or spire for the warlock special ability (last 30 seconds ) Use a sword instead of a knife with the hunter.
