Props and Suggestions Part One

Props: Yo Bungie, your talented team of men and women have put some serious blood, sweat, and tears into your baby, and it shows. I know we players tend to unload our vitriol when something rankles us so you probably don't hear this enough, so great job on this shooter! The gameplay is fluid and intuitive. I love how the guns each have their own identity in terms of their performance and can be tweaked based upon their individual skill trees. They feel real and responsive. The environments are beautifully rendered, limited to be sure, but enjoyable to explore when I first entered the world of destiny. Can there be improvement? Yep. Suggestions: 1. Damage Buffs to Armor - you have to admit, we are all starting to look alike. Your leveling system assures this. One way to change things up is to give armor the same solar/void/shock buffs we see on our weapons. Not every piece, maybe just the helm or chest, but in doing so we will have to employ the same strategy that we do with our guns, with our armor for a Nightfall load out, Raid, etc. 2. "Stacking" Public Events - I see this in some areas where the WARSTAT falls and a mob shows up halfway through or a Crota swordbearer, but how about this: you are attempting to stop the harvesting, when a spider tank drops, then a high value target appears, and finally, a mob. Talk about an adrenline rush! Trying to survive that chaos should warrant at least two shards and a green engram. Sarcasm aside, it would make for a thrilling experience based on content that already exists. It certainly would be a way to keep us invested. Not every event would unfold as described. Some would be as they presently play, but not knowing if the standard spider tank run would blow up into Fallen blitzkrieg would make it interesting. And please don't have the event combatants just vanish. We should have to take every last mob member down. It is annoying when they retreat and then disappear. 3. Rewards for Replaying Story Chapters - it has been written that you were surprised that players weren't replaying the story. You shouldn't be. Experience means nothing after level 20 unless you have the right armor. Sure you can level up your faction affiliations in a tediously slow manner, but I can do the same replaying a strike, and at least I have a shot at the G-horn upon a successful completion. Even crazier to me, you offered a level 30 play/replay of the story upon the launch of TDB, but still no rewards unless a chapter is a daily. Look, your RNG practically guarantees that we are not going to get anything substantial so why the resistance? Give us a reason to play otherwise it is going to become a Tuesday/Friday and I'm bored Thursday experience. 4. Vault Space - yeah, it's been harped upon. So why is it a problem? I finally created a second character to use as a vault. I will probably do the same for the third. Unlike many, I like my Hunter and the gameplay isn't so radically different between classes to coerce me into other characters. And, at the moment I'm not interested in running raids three times (I'm finally in a clan so I can do them) or Nightfall, or weekly because the RNG is so patently screwed I just don't care anymore. I'm sure I am not alone in this feeling and if that is the case, you should be concerned, Bungie. 5. Raid matchmaking - yup, that too. I can definitely see the pros and cons on this one, but given how, glitches aside, these are the best experiences Destiny has to offer, it seems unfortunate to shut many out. Will there be kooks? Yep. But hey, we look at YouTube, we can parse the strategies. I think we can make it work. Not sure? Offer match making for VOG for two weeks in or the month of March. See if it becomes the s**t show so many think, and if it does, you can say, "I told you so." And if it doesn't, well you'll have more consistent players. 6. Leveling Weapons - I find it crazy that it has become far easier to completely level my exotics than to level my legendaries. Need an exotic shard? Buy one, or buy 100 (if you have the coinage) from Xur. Ascendant or Radiant needs? Yeah, you are s**t out of luck. Yes you can use your capped Vanguard or Crucible marks to buy a weapon or armor and break it down, but you are not going to get anything comparable to the level that you can get from Xur. Just bonkers... 7. Remove Glimmer and Mark Caps - Why are they there? Oh, to stop us from progressing too rapidly. Let's see, I play the Tuesday reset. I max everything out (that I care too) and... I stop playing because there is no incentive to continue doing so. It ain't the story. Seems not well thought out. 8. Make the RARE Boss and Major Drops Larger - Those damn, tiny, clear, white pyramids can be a huge pain to find. I don't feel they automatically go to our inventory, but maybe I'm wrong on that. Running around listening for a hiss is annoying. Why is it so wrong to say to the Guardians, "Hey, great job! Here you go! It is right here."? 9. Fix RNG - yep, this too. I'm guessing this one will fall on deaf ears. You have shown a genuine stubbornness towards this issue and it is surprising. I'm not suggesting that you should be showering us with exotics, but the present system is absurdly jacked up. Is this how promotions work at Bungie? A employee busts his or her ass to make a deadline and you reward her with a frozen burrito but give the new intern the empty corner office? The day one temp gets a brand new car while the long time staffer receives stapler and a box of paper clips? Do you have a giant, spinning "Wheel of Bonus" where most of the slots are empty or filled with thoroughly unrewarding crap and everyone has to spin it at year's end to see how their efforts are going to be recognized? If you don't you should because you obviously feel it is fine to subject the players who pay your salaries to such an approach. Seriously. Fix it. 10. Give Us Something to Do with Materials - Let us sell them. Let us combine them into unique armor and/or weapons. I have weapons parts, spin metal, etc. coming out the wazoo and nothing to do with it save the occasional leveling up of a weapon. Maybe we can combine items into the shards/energies that we need. More to follow...

1: Highly doubt this is possible, even if it was it changes to much of the game. 2: Agreed (if it's possible) 3: Agreed 4: We need more vault space, play on 1 charecter if it suits you but I want more room for my weapons and 47 weapon slots is not enough for all the primary, secondary and heavy weapons I own. 5: NOOO, definitely not, there are enough sites to help find a raid team, it's unbelievable how many people won't watch a raid before trying it and I won't stay with players who will melee fanatics and the like. Afk, quiting, trolling, clueless players, there are just to many things wrong. 6: You can get radiant mats from the raid ir ascendant mats from nightfall, vog, daily. There us no problem here. 7: Agreed 8: Again not much of a problem. Just a simple run by is enough to see if u got a mat. 9: Agreed though nothing will come of it. 10: Agreed. For the most part your right but raid matchmaking is a terrible idea and should you decide to make more charecters you'll see why we ask for more vault space every week.
