I played as all three! By the end of the weekend I had one of each at level 8 (the max) and I am SOOOOO much more excited than I already was for this game to come out. I think I honestly took like a million screenshots because it was such a beautiful game. The landscapes are incredible; there are places where you've got these wide, sweeping vistas and it's so pretty and yet so disconcerting because it's future alien earth? I'm fumbling the explanation but you'll see when you play it. The other thing that really struck a chord with me was the atmosphere they created - there are all these deep, dark tunnels and hidden things to explore, and it's SCARY, and I don't scare easily. But there were places down there that I really did not want to explore alone. And the sound - there was all this silence and echoes and in the distances you could hear far-off roars or scrabbling noises or just WEIRD stuff. It was legit. I kind of surprised myself; I started with a warlock because I'd thought that was the one I'd like most. It was fun - the warlock's special is pretty cool, the grenade is cool, the melee is cool... but I think I actually liked the titan and hunter better. If I had to rank them pre-alpha, I would've said warlock, hunter, titan (bc I'm not normally a heavy armor-type fan.) Post-alpha, I'd say my preference goes hunter, titan, warlock. The golden gun the hunter has is CRAZY effective, and I adore the melee (which you can upgrade to have a throwing knife!) And the titan's super was pretty killer, too. The weapons handled really well and there was a good variety; I found a few favorites and was able to just crank out precision kills, which I loved. For multiplayer, I was not a huge fan of the moon map because it had a lot of open spaces where I kept getting sniped, and the vehicles seemed way too overpowered (or I'm bad at counter-vehicle stuff, idk), but the other map was these ruins on earth and I wreeeeeecked people with a shotgun on there. Mostly. A number of times I got my butt handed to me. Obviously a lot of stuff was still locked because it was an alpha and only open for the weekend; I'm looking forward to being able to access stuff like armor paints and the fancy legendary gear the merchants had (oh level 20, I could have been you!) REALLY looking forward to armor re-coloring. I had mixed pieces on my warlock and she looked like a hot mess with these yellow pants, orange coat... it was not good. Also we basically had dance parties all the time so that was rad.
