Lasers, Railgun, and guns that go "ZAP".
When Destiny was revealed over a year ago, I got hyped for some next level future weaponry. However so far all the types of guns we have seen so far have been pretty traditional; ARs, DMRs, LMGs, SMGs, Shotguns, Revolvers, BRs, and Sniper rifles. With the exception of Fusion rifles and pulse rifles, all of these gun types are stuff I can find in BF4 or CoD. What we need is something new, something creative, something decidedly Bungie.
I remembered how when I first started playing Halo I got super psyched about the spartan laser, it was unique, it was a new experience, not just another automatic primary. I also had a similar experience with the gravity hammer, and the swordsplosion from BL2
Destiny needs some trademark guns, something which someone doesn't pick up and say "OMG, this looks like so and so...",or some noob sauntering up and saying; "wow look an AK47!!!".
Does anybody here have any experiences with a unique gun, or an unique and original idea?

4 RepliesYou make a good point actually. I mean, with Halo, you always see the Master Chief with an Assault Rifle, Energy Sword, or maybe some other iconic Halo weapon. But what will be iconic in Destiny? There might not be an iconic weapon at all, due to the fact that they're emphasizing being a unique snowflake, but there has to be [i]some[/i] weapon/piece of gear that people look at and immediately think "Destiny."

5 RepliesBungie said all of the guns were "hand crafted" and fully customizable so have faith bungie will do well. Plus those hand cannons are pretty unique

1 ReplyI think this will be mainly found in the exotic weapons you get as loot. A lot of the exotic weapons will probably have cool abilities such as closing time, a sniper rifle that camouflages you when you look down the scope.

5 RepliesLasers, all kinds of multiple fire, mini gun style, an eviscerator- short range like a shotgun with a 2 foot spread. Emp or plasma pulse rifle/canon. Plasma flamethrower Spread ammo- breaks apart after 20 yards. Shark launcher. Wave distortion beam- rearranges your innards. Acid injection hammer. [spoiler]These are a few of my favorite things.[/spoiler]

9 RepliesFusion rifle...have a read what that does. I'd say that class of rifle will be a unique destiny weapon. I also think there will be some alien weaponry we will be able to pick up and use. A laser blaster hand cannon would be cool, bungie are no strangers to laser/plasma weapons just look at the alien weapons from halo. I'm sure they haven't told us all the classes of weapons there will be yet.
