History of LionsGuard

" In the Final Days of Humanity's Golden Age, the Traveler's Speakers were forewarned about a great sacrifice that was to take place in order for Humanity to survive. In the concluding battle between the Traveler and the Darkness most of Humanity fled to take refuge to avoid becoming casualties. Even those who swore to fight alongside the Traveler against the Darkness inevitably abandoned their Oaths, Humans, Exos, and Awoken alike. Only a few brave souls stood their ground knowing the outcome of the war. They fought fiercely against the legions of Darkness never once letting their fears and doubts extinguish the flames in their Hearts. All this was still not enough, the Traveler and its warriors were outnumbered, and so with a blinding Light all was ended by the remaining power of the Traveler. The Darkness and its Legions were gone and so was everything in the Battlefield, all that was left was the Traveler's damaged shell hovering over devastation. Legends say that those who fought alongside the Traveler that day were the First Guardians, and those who witnessed the Traveler's light disintegrate the Darkness also heard the Roars of Lions. From then on, those brave warriors were known as the LionsGuard. Centuries have passed since then, but now, in the second coming of the Darkness, Ghosts are beginning to find Guardians unlike any other. Souls that even the Traveler is familiar to. Guardians that have somehow found one another without recollection of past comradery and the great sacrifices that were made. Memories are now stories of legends and folklore, but one thing is for certain, the great LionsGuard is once again rising up to do battle against the Darkness and its Legions.
