Change

I can't seem to sleep and this is long overdue, so I'm going to write this up now before I put it off some more. I hope everyone will read this, consider it my last request as raid leader. This clan has always been important to me and this post is probably the closest one to my heart I will make in regards to it. When I first heard about destiny years ago, I thought to myself "huh, that'd be so cool if I could play that, too bad I'll probably never be able to", but things change and I did. I went and picked up this game with absolutely no idea the kind of journey it'd take me on. I had no online friends to play with when I started. Literally nobody. But I wouldn't let that stop me. I continued to play and I met more and more people along the way. Along with my newfound friends we took on the raid and we beat it. As we beat it more and more and moved onto the hard raid some of you -blam!-ers, for whatever reason, started considering me your raid leader. Hey, I wasn't complaining ;). So we moved on to build this clan. We made it into a tool to help others get to where we were. Not just to help them beat a raid, but to help them find a group of great people to play a fun game together. We went on to show Crota how much of a bitch he was and we certainly didn't give skolas any breaks either. We made this game our bitch and we loved every minute of it. I loved every minute of it. I remember so many great moments, like raid jobs, or sudoku, or the great many meat-whistles TK just couldn't avoid slipping on. Great things like these moments with these people are most certainly not locked in the past because there is still so much to come. But sadly that is not true for this clan. Change is inevitable. The longer you live the more this becomes apparent. Each day, each week, each month, each year, they are all different, all new with new things to learn. You may think to yourself "well duh, last year I was in 4th grade, this year I'm in 5th grade" or at least jackhawk is thinking that. But the more you think about all of that the more profound it becomes. Things that you have today, they feel like forever, but tomorrow they'll all be gone. Fenris pack is done guys. In all honesty, it's been done, but this clan was too great not to at least give it a proper goodbye. What kind of goodbye? That's up to you guys. Starting today (Saturday 2/27) Fenris will be alive for 2 more weeks and then I must shut it down. What if you don't want it shut down? Too bad, trying to keep this clan alive at this point would be the same as keeping your zombie wife, just put the thing out of its -blam!-ing misery and get a new one. But before we do that we might as well bang it one last time right? That's what people do right? My stupid jokes aside let's take one second to look at the future. We aren't done being friends and hell most of us aren't even done with destiny forever. So what happens in the future when we need a clan name and leader to organize behind? We will start new. New name, new mission, new leader, new members, new everything. We may take some ideas, people, leaders (me :D), to that future clan, but it'll all be new because no matter what you take with you, everything is different on the next horizon. Whatever happens I hope to see you there :). Sonic out

  • I propose everyone post about their favorite clan moment. However if that's not good enough of a goodbye we could totally get together for one last raid (VoG or Crota of course) and maybe even make it a challenge raid ;). Any other suggestions?
