[u]Location: Earth, Outskirts of the Last City.[/u]
[b]Leech dashes up and over hill-tops on a very old quad bike, planting down customized beacons every kilometre or so in a giant circle around the last city. She was just beginning to reach the end of her side, while Garuud was on the other side doing the same thing, meaning he couldn't get to her if she had a problem.[/b]
"Hey Garuud, how are you going?" [b]She says into her helmets coms trying to talk to him, but she only received static.[/b] "Strange, you could almost sa-"
[b]Her bike stops suddenly, sending Leech flying forward away from her bike. She lands on the ground in a roll, coming up on her feet quickly. She looks up to where the bike now sits, the front end squashed in, to see a wire running a short length along. Luckily, the last of her beacons were intact.[/b]
[b]She looks around fully prepared, knowing full well that things could get nasty quickly with the sudden appearance of anyone.[/b]

Anaxis shook his head. "Won't work. I've tried everything in the book, it's how I knew what he has done before. But now I can't see anything. Whatever they're doing, it's under lock and key, far beyond our solar system." He stared out in front of him. "That's what worries me."

"Anaxis, what do you want to ask her?" [b]She asks over her shoulder at Anaxis.[/b]

He looked at her. "Anything pertaining to Grixis. At this point, any kind of information on him is helpful. I don't care if it's only a damn rumor, just something."

Which can only mean that they are either in their Ascendant Realm, or somewhere else with equal power."

"But one more similar to Akka's energy, perhaps? Him and his clones can automatically get through ascendant portals. No reason to think they can't override whatever passage this guy is using. Don't worms override all hive functions by default? I may be wrong, but my field is Vex and golden age.

[b]Leech lifts the beacon up high and slams it down into the ground. She turns to face them.[/b] "Now, what we can do since you two are here, is help me arrange some cannons in there." [b]She then points at the Twlight Gap behind the two.[/b]

"Towards the tower, but don't worry, it's only to take down the Cuisers Grixis uses. He's not going to be as stupid and immediately use energy guns to take down the tower, he knows my power by now, so he won't." [b]Leech takes a step to walk past then in order to move to the Twlight Gap.[/b]

Anaxis followed Alice as she walked off in the direction of Twilight Gap. It was strange. Years ago, one of the largest battles the City had ever faced had been fought on those very grounds. It felt invigorating in a way, that they would no doubt be battling at such a legendary site, but at the same time, many Guardians fell during that battle. And history was about to repeat itself. A few things came up in his head however. The cannons that were still functioning there only had the firepower to take out small targets. Firing one at something as large and armored as a Hive Cruiser... And frighteningly a Dreadnaught, would be like throwing a pebble at a Cabal Siege Tank. "The cannons currently up there won't do a thing against a Cruiser. But I know someone, or someone's who could give them an extra kick to them. Maybe even help us in the battle." He thought about an missed shots from the cannons missing their mark and instead striking the City. But he dismissed those thoughts, as it would be pretty difficult to miss something as large as what they would be shooting at.

"I also have an idea on how to give it a but more kick, but what's your idea first?" [b]Leech starts climbing up the rock wall to the Twlight Gap.[/b]

He watched Alice as she began to climb the rock wall, and decided he was going to take the easier way out. He immediately Transmatted into his jumpship, then slowly began to ascend the mountain. He really didn't want what he had to say to become public knowledge, not until the time was right. But he wasn't left with many other options. If it meant the defense of the City, then so be it. He switched out over to the comm channel, linking them with Alice and the other Hunter. "Let me first ask a question; how much do you know about Grixis' past?"

"Zip, nada, zero," he continues, listing a few more words with similar meaning. "Just what you told me."

"He used to be a Guardian, until he got infused with Darkness and ended up becoming one with Sarkon or something. He's apparently a great swordsman with tremendous power, yet if you take away that power he is practically useless." [b]She looks at Anaxis's ship.[/b] "Y'know, someone once told me that if you take the easy way out of a situation, you won't be prepared for the certainty of the harder choice later on."

After that, his jumpship angled upwards and shot over the buildings. Anaxis then proceeded to walk to where Alice stood, until he stood a few feet away from her. "Anyway, back to the matter at hand. Only me, and a handful of others know any of this. But before I begin, I have to ask that this stays between me and you. What I'm about to say goes... Very deep."
