Regarding Band

So when I click the invite link for the band app all that happens is my phone will attempt to leave the destiny app, flash and then return to whichever page I have open to view the link. (I have already made an account on the app, and have looked around a bit) would anybody have any fixes or know what I am doing wrong? Please and thank you!
