It is great to see the clan grow in size. The increased size brings excitement, new friendships, and more people to play Destiny. However, the increased size brings problems too. Specifically, an acute problem has arisen of having too many people online with too few slots for a raid team. Often there is not enough remaining people to form another raid team and/or may not have the correctly skilled people with the proper equipment in them to make a raid successful. The people left out feel justifiably disillusioned and wondering if joining a clan was worth it.
As a potential solution, leadership has discussed conducting scheduled raids for Crota’s End (CE) and Vault of Glass (VoG) so that everyone will get a chance for a slot on a raid team. As of the time of this posting, Lucky Duck will be placed in charge of scheduling VoG raids and I have been assigned the duty to handle CE raids. Since we do not know the demand from our clan mates on the frequency of raids, we will conduct them on a daily basis (or every other day) to start and adjust according to feedback. When the posts go up announcing the type of raid, requirements, date, and time window in which we will conduct it, please just sign up by commenting to the post by listing your interest, type and level of guardian. Slots will be filled as a first-come first-served basis with 1-2 backup slots for late cancellations and no-shows. However, the raid coordinators have the right to adjust the teams to make sure that specific gaurdians are included and/or if individuals are prepared (e.g. appropriate level, equipment, and play style) for that raid.
*In certain raids, there will be a slot that will be filled in automatically from the beginning by the coordinators. For example, the CE raid requires a skilled sword handler and the pool of clan mates that have this skill is small (Bugattios, Fapadelic, Lucky Ducks, and Savage Flakes. If I did not mention your name, I apologize since I have likely not been on a raid team with you and have not assessed your skills with the blade.).
Please excuse the lengthy post.
