Time For Free DLC?

*This is a somewhat longer speech, but please read! Remember way back when Destiny was finally coming into the spotlight? When the "ten year project" sounded promising and awesome? I myself was thrilled and anticipating the future of Destiny. But as I reflect now, I am far less enthusiastic. Well what happened? I think now we have all begun to understand what kind of ten year project Bungie has in store - One meant for "the stores". Starting off, Destiny was a pretty amazing game. I have to admit the raids are fun and the strikes, entertaining. However, Destiny simply lacked enough content to be anything but repetitive. Luckily we were in for a "ten year project" full of improvements and expansions! Too bad we didn't notice the little price tag dangling behind. TDB and HoW have each been, in my opinion, great DLC, providing a much needed variety to Destiny's universe. However, these well needed expansions demanded that the player start reaching into their pockets. This wouldn't necessarily be unfair, as many games these days ask the player to pay for the additional content. What is unfair is the fact that Destiny, having so little to begin with, leaves room for PLENTY of content. With The Taken King arriving this fall, I remain somewhat baffled at it's 40$ price tag. I also come now to reflect on what exactly a "ten year project" means. From what we've seen we can expect much more DLC (and I am happy for that). Unfortunately, I can only expect that each expansion will come with a cost. Isn't it time that we got "Free DLC"??? Look at Grand Theft Auto - are these players asked to hand over 20$ with every update? No. Instead, Rockstar offers the new updates for free. Rockstar makes sure that their game is always has a new and fun experience to try. Something Destiny surely needs. But what will this "ten year project" look like in the future? Will it be stacked with layers upon layers of priced DLC? For a game with so little, I think it's only fair to give the Destiny gamers a free DLC at least every year. This will at least provide something fresh and new for those either uninterested or without the money to get the DLC. Please, if you agree, voice your opinion below. It the best and surest way to get our wishes noticed from Bungie. *Also thank you for enduring my long speech. Stay safe Guardians!
