The Reef Wars

No theories here, just plain old information! This is a complete history of the Reef Wars, compiled from all available sources. However, there is still some information that is hidden from us. I have marked these places with a [REDACTED]: The Scatter: The House of Wolves stopped at Ceres to regroup on the way to Earth, where the other Houses were united against the City. Mara Sov, the Awoken Queen, decided it was in her best interest to stop the Wolves from getting to Earth. She arrived at Ceres with a small fleet, and after a short exchange with Virixas, Kell of Wolves, the Queen summoned her Harbingers. These superweapons tore into Ceres, destroying the asteroid along with half of the Wolf forces, including the Kell. Three claimants for the Kellship quickly arose: Irxis, Wolf Baroness; Parixas, the Howling; and Skolas, the Rabid The Eos Clash: After the Scatter, Irxis was in the best position to become Kell. She secured control of the Orbiks servitors while Skolas and Parixas fought over the Kaliks servitors. The Orbiks servitors held permissions over the Kaliks servitors, allowing Irxis to wreak havoc. Nevertheless, one of Skolas's vassals, the Baron Peekis, pinned Irxis's ketches against Eos in a bitter battle. This battle left both fleets decimated, and Peekis was demoted to Dreg. In the aftermath, the Crows were able to capture one of Irxis's servitors, Mecher Orbiks-11. The Razing of Amythest: After the disastrous Eos Clash, Skolas adopted a more subtle strategy. He sent Drevis, Wolf Baroness and her Silent Fang to Amethyst, a station in the Reef. Drevis and the Fang murdered nearly the whole station, including Coven Leader Pinar Venj and much of her family before Paladin Abra Zire arrived. Drevis quickly fled, with Zire close behind. The Battle of Hygiea: [REDACTED] The Battle of Iris: Following the Razing of Amythest, Paladin Zire chased the Fang to Iris, where she discovered a Wolf ketch laying in wait. The ketch was no match for Zire's smaller and more ferocious ships, but when the battle was over, Drevis was nowhere to be found. Instead, it was Parixas at Paladin Zire's feet. Grayor, Skolas's assassin, had attacked Parixas's fleet had lured him to Iris at the same time Drevis and the Fang were arriving. Grayor and Drevis escaped before Zire entered the system, using Iris's unusual brightness to disappear. This now left Skolas as the only claimant for Kellship. The Battle of Bamberga's Wrath: After numerous defeats, Prince Uldren Sov and his Crows finally made headway against the Wolf encryption. They discovered a trivial piece of information: the Wolves had incorrectly determined the eccentricity of the asteroid Bamberga. Paladin Imogen Rife chased Drevis's ketch directly into Bamberga's trajectory, destroying the ketch and killing many on board. Drevis herself and her servitor, Kaliks-4, were captured. The Siege of Pallas: On her way back to Vesta with her prisoners, Paladin Rife was ambushed at Pallas by Skolas's vassal Pirsis and her fleet. For years Pirsis besieged Pallas, neither side willing to attack; Pirsis had the firepower to destroy the entire asteroid, yet Rife still held Wolf prisoners. Eventually, this stalemate was broken by a Dreg, Weksis, ironically dubbed 'the Meek.' He, along with numerous followers, infiltrated the asteroid, but were apprehended and imprisoned. This attack was shortly followed by one led by the Bane of Pallas herself, Pirsis. Kaliks-4 was destroyed to prevent its rescue, and in retaliation, Pirsis slew Paladin Rife before retreating without those she attempted to save. Commander Hallam Fen, Rife's protege, finally established a line of communication with the rest of the Reef, allowing the Techeuns and the Crows to create a massive illusion of the Harbingers. These fake superweapons scattered the Wolves and Pirsis was captured. Shortly after, Commander Fem was promoted to Paladin in Imogen Rife's place. The Hildian Campaign: During the Seige of Pallas, in an effort to defuse the conflict, the Queen sent Armada Paladins Abra Zire and Kamala Rior to the Hildian Asteroids, where Skolas was rumored to be hiding. Thanks to Skolas's tactician, Beltrik the Veiled, Skolas thwarted Paladins Zire and Rior. During this event the Paladins engaged with the Wolves in numerous skirmishes, including the Battle of False Tidings. In this battle, [REDACTED]. The Fortuna Plummet: Finally, Beltrik the Veiled left the Hildians for Fortuna in order to replenish his fleet's supply of Ether. His ships landed one at a time, with the rest forming a defensive screen around the asteroid. Paladin Abra Zire separated her forces, throwing what Beltrik believed to be her entire host at his defensive screen. The rest of Zire's fleet deployed the Reef's newest superweapon: Carybdis. Carybdis caught the asteroid Tinette and hurled it at Fortuna, destroying both asteroids and crippling Beltrik's fleet. Beltrik was swiftly captured in the ensuing chaos. Shortly after, one of the Crows returned to the Reef with a message from a Fallen individual by the name of Variks, a scribe of the House of Judgement. The Cybele Uprising: Desperate, Skolas himself led an assault on the Reef's fortress at Cybele, relying on the element of surprise. But he found the Awoken forces ready and waiting, thanks to the word of Variks. As soon as Skolas's ketches arrived at the asteroid, the four Armada Paladins--Abra Zire, Kamela Rior, Leona Bryl, and Hallam Fen--surrounded him. Kaliks-14, High Servitor of Skriviks, the Sharp-Eyed, attempted to escape, but was captured along with Skriviks, Skolas, and the rest of the Wolf leaders. The New Kell: Variks of the House of Judgement named Queen Mara Sov the new Kell of Wolves. She quickly moved to assimilate the Wolves with the Reef and crush those who did not wish to follow her. Among these deserters was one who declared himself the true Kell of Wolves: Veliniks, the Ravenous. He, along with his followers, planned to strike at the Reef, but before he could, Veliniks was hunted down and captured by Lieutenant Petra Venj. Later, during an attempt to mop up remaining Wolf deserters, Petra, now a Corsair, accidentally killed 9 Guardians and their ghosts, increasing tension between the City and the Reef and resulting in her demotion to Tower Emissary. Eventually, the rest of the Wolves were brought under the Awoken banner, and served the Queen like any other Kell.
