How Powerful is Oryx?
To answer this question we must first under what a god is exactly.
A god is defined as super natural being have power of nature, an immortal, a being positioned in a holy place, also an emotion. To generalize this a god is simply a powerful being having control of a dominion. In Greek mythology, Zeus ruled the heavens, Poseidon ruled the seas, and Hades ruled the underworld. There were also lesser gods such as Athena goddess of War, Wisdom, etc, Aphrodite goddess of love, Hercules god of Heroes, and many others.

Crota is only Hive god we've seen far. According to the card, Crota's Twilight was create so was ruled by the ascendant swords, Crota's sword ruling all others (Lord of the rings thing).
As Eris said "He's is not their only God." Each Hive god must also control their own realms of existence. There could be a hive god of Torture that represents the Ogres, a Wizard God that screams, fright, or even a hive god that poisons the world. But what would Oryx's world be like. Well Oryx is God King of all the Hive, and what is the Hive exactly.
Grimoire Hive: "Are they alive? They move, they shriek, they fall upon us in ravenous waves. But I see death, decay, and corruption, not life."
Grimoire Warlock 2: "It laughed at me. It said we were the same." Eriana-3 torturing a hive wizard.
In the second card, I thought the wizard spoke metaphorically, until I put these two together. All Guardians are dead being brought back to life. The Hive I believe are just the same, dead beings brought to existence. The Death Singer Ir Yut, Toland suggested, pinned herself to the song of death so that she can sing it without herself dying.

Oryx is dead, he has broken the barrier between life and death, his realm is death and that is where the hive spawn into existence. He decides what will live and what will die. How do kill something that is already dead? To end this hive nightmare we must put an end to Oryx, but how?
Oryx I believe does not have a physical form, but something that just existence. We first severe his connections to realm, perhaps the Hive gods themselves are his connections. Then we must enter the realm of death and cleanse his soul with pure light that no darkness can touch. How exactly? I'm not sure. The Warlock Osiris might have the answers we need.
The Power to judge if you will live or die. Now that is a terrifying.

How thats possible can be explained through a much larger theory we have been coming to regarding the traveler itself. BUT on topic: I have a friend, a fellow Awoken, but a Warlock in her pursuit to understanding the nature of the universe she lives in. She can do some amazing things, like I said. Ive sadly seen no proof however, this is what ive been told by friends in-game. My Titan friend, a new hunter apprentice, and I were going through the nightfall against Omnigul. All was well, until we got Omnigul to half health, and the titan collapsed on the Wizards' platform. The apprentice and I fell back to the hill before the final encounter.... and I got disocnnected... Comcast has been doing this to me for some time. Years. Truly "Comcastic" But 5 mins rolls by and It comes back, So i hop on and find them in orbit. I join up, and the titan tells me this: "She did it again... I dont know how she did it but she beat the boss for us" He proceeded to tell me about how the hivespawn spontaneously burst into ash next to his ghost, along with Omnigul herself, he received a message on skype from our Warlock. She began with talk of the apprentice, and how vulnerable she was at the time, and how she felt-after I dropped-that she must intervene. She made mention of how-in their overconfidence- the Hive have taught her how to make use of their power, and that was their demise. With a smirk she told them they were welcome, and that was that. This Warlock, she is truly a special one. once again.... I cant provide proof other than the words of those two. (although I am asking the titan to comb through skype to find that exact msg) TLDR Not present on PS4 or Destiny, she managed to somehow end a nightfall instantaneously helping an underleveled hunter, and a dead-quirky titan gain their rewards.
