Osiris Theory

Welcome, I'm only known for my Cabal theory but I'm here to add on to it. In the various Trials of Osiris armors, the flavor description speaks of the Speaker, mostly conspiracies about him. In Egyptian Mythology, Osiris was exiled and framed by his evil brother to take his throne. Osiris, a once esteemed warlock, mastering in the darkness was referred to when the vanguard needed information. Now here's where my theory comes in, the 'Speaker' was the one who framed him. There could be a point where Osiris saw through his ruse, evidence from the armor flavor texts state that the speaker turns allies against each other and has no real purpose but gains the respect and admiration, Osiris attempted to remove him and therefore was framed, saying he had become to attached to the darkness. More evidence is that Osiris was obsessed with the shrine of Oryx, gaining priceless information from it, suddenly the speaker calls upon you to destroy it, could the speaker be working with the darkness? Maybe his started the trials to find the strongest of the guardians to recruit them, gift them and prepare them to fight other guardians who have been lied to by the speaker. I'm ending here, might add more later, I just needed to write this down before I forgot haha. -G.I.

I've been digging around on this topic as well. The brother Vance said "What would you do if the Speaker was proven a charlatan(A Fraud)" The Watcher's Chest armor all say ""Out of sight, out of mind" they say. The Speaker wishes this was True" - Fractal scrolls The Exile's helment says " Don't you find it strange that the one called the speaker rarely has anything useful to say? - Saying of the Disciples. In Osiris's Grimoire card, Osiris tries to answer the question, "What drives a Warlock to madness?" His conclusion was "The Truth." One of Eris Mourn's quotes is "This eye sees more keen in the Dark" and from Grimoire card Hive 3, contains some interesting Dialogue between Eirs and Ikora about Omniguls presence on earth. Ikora: No, not—I don't question your belief. I’m asking why she is here. Why Earth? Please, try to be clear. There is no time for cryptic half-answers and almost-truths. Eris: Heh. Ikora: She still laughs. Eris: It seems I have become more like the Speaker— Ikora: Secrets have their places. Here, now, is not that place. Omnigul. Tell me what you’ve learned. Tell me how we stop her. This suggest there is a secret behind the Speaker. Eris may have discovered this with her new eyes. Considering all this, I believe that you are right, but I think the real reason for Osiris's banishment was that he knew too much. Maybe about the Speaker, or something Else? Knowledge itself is dangerous. Perhaps that is also the reason for Eris being banished from the Tower.
