Hard raid elitism, please don't fall into the trap.
Hey guys,
So I got majorly -blam!-ed over today and if it weren't for this clan I'd probably have stopped playing. I was just minding my own business playing low level story stuff as it was my day off and just wanted to level up my sun singer, get an invite from a mate (non clan) to a party, join and start chewing the fat. Comes up that I've not done hm crota yet/I really want the fang of ir yut, they all start boasting that they have multiples of it ect, to be fair a few said vision is better depending on how you look at it.
Anyway, they then say they'll do hm with me as one of their mates (their all 32 btw) needs to do for a 2nd time, but they need to do the nightfall, so I wait, and I wait.... Then another of their mates comes online, (also 32) they leave the party and join his don't say a word of what is happening to me, and then the guy they've joined doesn't let me. I then had to message them to ask what was going on to be told I couldn't join the party and I watched as they formed a fire team and started without even the courtesy to apologise.
I can only assume it is because I'm still a 31. Guys who are 32 please never ever do this to anyone lower level than you it takes the absolute piss and is massively disrespectful.

2 RepliesI an sorry that this happened to you Rusty. If it weren't for the time difference I would gladly take you in with my normal hard raid group. We have taken lvl 30s in with us. Maybe this weekend, if we are all on, we can give it a go. I am not off until Sunday, but if you see Jiant2520 online, tell him that you would like to go in and do hard mode. He can get a group together for you. Good luck

If it wasn't for those Iron Banner gauntlets, I guess I wouldn't be able to be almost "guaranteed" to join elitist raid groups. But then, again, I guess I was kicked for more than just being a 31. I'm guessing those reasons were: I lack a mic. (inb4 everyone's like: BUT YOU NEED A MIC TO RAID DUMBASS!) (I have no frickin' idea where the headset that came with the system went to, lol.) (I guess it doesn't really matter if you do, as long as the other 5 have one) I lack a Jellyhorn I didn't bother to level up crap. Level 31 (I distracted the "Boomers" with my bubble anyway) Low Grimore. (I'm at 2000+ now, I was like, 1845 weeks back) I couldn't really heal myself with anything besides Ward of Dawn.[ (I have Red Death now, so healing shouldn't be an issue.) It's rough getting into groups without a mic, lol. They just kick you because you don't talk and invite some other random guy, they don't really give you a chance. I might start raiding with some of you guys actually, because I kind of want to set up a "permanent" group of 5 others that I can raid with from the clan. I also kind-of want a Nightfall team too.

All you need to do to get to 32 is to just get the shards you need remaining anyway. So if you're lucky, you should get to 32 this week. (Hopefully)
