how to level up on level 20
I can't level up past level 20 and I can't start Crota any advice

Get your vanguard rank up so you can just buy legendary gear. Don't wear a faction mark/cloak/bond. Just do the bounties every day and max out the strikes play list. Get to vanguard rank 2 and you can buy gear that'll jump you to 26-28

You need Legendary (or Exotic) amour/s, which gives you light. The more you upgrade the armour the more light you get and your level goes up. You can buy Legendary Armour from the Vanguard in the Tower, you'll need about 75 Vanguard marks for the cheapest, if I remember correctly. You can also get Legendary from engrams if you're lucky.
