Varriks, the Loyal

Greetings, I am but one of the few of us lore seekers out there. I have begun to do a report on Varriks. I haven't done a video or recorded any audio or even written a script, but nonetheless I have been working on such. I believe Varriks is an interesting character as he is not how he portrays himself. During the Reef Wars, Varricks was House Of Judgement's scribe to Skolas. He and Skolas's views differed fairly drastically as Skolas was more aggressive, and reckless. Later into the war, at the Fortuna Plummet, when Prince Uldren's Crows captured Varricks, he was nothing. He was weak, scared, and a coward. In exchange for his own survival, he begged the Queen to let him be her advisor and he would give her knowledge on what plans Skolas had. Namely, the upcoming Cybelle Uprising. He betrayed his own Kell, simply for his own survival. Sounds odd for someone who goes by the title: the Loyal. I believe that if he were given no other choice and Skolas had somehow been able to being the Queen to her knees, Varricks would have defected to the Wolves for his own survival. I don't believe Varricks is to be trusted. While he may help the Reef and the Guardians who participate in the Prison of Elders, I don't think he's a person to trust in dire times, when the odds are against the Guardians and the Reef.
