I will preface this by saying: This was written on a phone so I promise that there will be errors and please forgive them.
He looked out to the glowing orange sunset from atop the rocky cliff face, carefully positioned so as to not fall he looked down on the valley below him "what are we going to do?" His ghost asked, but he remained silent for a man like he had no time to talk but only time for action. The Hunter eyed his prey through his sniper scope; a Devil Baron.
"Rhypsin, a Devil Baron. Slayer of Guardians and terror of colony towns" his ghost explained but the little machine's words went unnoticed, the Hunter knew the tales all too well, the Barons cruel and evil acts against colony towns and Guardians alike. It had to end, he sighted the Baron in his scope and aimed not at the head but the chest to inflict as much pain as possible and to keep it alive for when he got down the cliff, he inhaled and focused and squeezed the trigger and felt the rifle kick back and a plume of ether poured from the Barons wound. The shot scared the dregs away and the vandals backed up and took cover. He slid down the rocky cliff disturbing rock and soil. He came up on the Fallen camp and saw the dying captain laying there, this scene brought the Guardian a sense of what could almost be described as joy, he strode up to the Baron and plunged his knife into its chest, ether spewed from the wound and the Baron roared in pain, the Hunter twisted the blade severing arteries and breaking bones killing the Baron. He took the Barons red cloth mark with the House Of Devils sigil from the it's lifeless corpse and draped over his shoulders with pride.
He made his way to a colony town, and was greeted with cheers and shaking of hands and grateful faces. He strode up to a little girl and draped the Devils Sigil over her tiny shoulders, this girl who's parents were taken from her by the Devil Barons cruelty now had vengeance for her family thanks to this lone hunter "thank you" she said softly he simply nodded and reminded himself to not get attached but the other side of him told that it was the whole reason why they fight "Your welcome little one, if you need me fly that on the flag staff, I will help" and the lone Hunter disappeared into the night.

Well done! As a fellow phone user on this site, I know the struggles. I would like to read more like this if you do something you find post worthy.

Another amazing short story you are massively talented :)

Very well written. I like how you gave the Hunter that joy in killing, but also that human quality of helping a child.

A few grammatical errors here and there, but overall, I thought it was a wonderful short story. I would love to see more from you, if possible. Keep up the good work.
