SUCCESS - xAx VoG Raid - Normal - Training Session - 1:57

TIME CHANGED: Moved 30 mins forward. Times below are the NEW times. Friday 19 December 2014 1:30PM PST 4:30PM EST 9:30PM GMT 8:30AM AEDT (Saturday Morning) Administrator of Raid: bajor27 Requirements: level 26+ 1. bajor27 2. sbeisel 3. Dinsey 4. Grillium 5. SpuffMonkey 6. dog3760 Maybes: DAAS09 FluffyTaterz Priority giving to anyone who has either never run the raid before or who has never used the relic before (holding it during the Templar Cheese doesn't count). If you can include something about that in your post, that would be very helpful. I'll be going over some strategies that are mainly used for the hard mode raid as well to prepare you for those runs too. Basic Gameplan: Opening: We'll probably only try once, but I'd like everyone to try a side (left, right, or middle) that they haven't tried before Confluxes: We'll be splitting into groups of two and rotating positions (left, right, or middle) between each wave Oracles: I'll be going over the normal strategy and the hard mode strategy. I'll show everyone the best place to take out the hidden left oracle on hard. We'll be swapping positions much like the confluxes too. Templar: EVERYONE will be getting at least 3 minutes of relic holding time. We'll be going over the hard strategy first and playing around in order to get everyone familiar with the different oracle spawns and Templar teleports. We'll probably have some fun and complete it the 'normal' way and swap the relic between us as we go :) I want to make sure everyone gets a detain shield while holding the relic and learns how to easily kill oracles with the relic too Gorgons: I'll quickly go over the quickest and safest routes for normal and hard. time permitting, we'll have everyone lead through. Platforms: I'd like to have everyone learn how to do it 3 ways though we'll see how the time is going. Gatekeeper: Everyone will get some relic time here again - BOTH sides. I'd like everyone to get a chance to hold the middle (after first relic is out) as well. Atheon: Everyone will be getting a chance to take the relic at each of the two teleport locations. We'll be playing relic roulette when we finish (level permitting) as well - meaning anyone 28+ will only be able to pick-up the relic 1 time. Next time someone else has to pick it up. I would expect to spend 2 hours on this, though I'm happy to spend more with you. Remember - there's no pressure on performance. This is about learning. Let's try to keep the atmosphere encouraging and fun :) RECAP: We had all different experience levels. One persons first raif ever, some just there to gain relic experience. All in all, this went incredibly well in my opinion. I certainly had a ton of fun and everyone was great. Only issue was that Atheon dropped on our first try and not everyone got a chance to try the relic here. I'll know better for next time. My apologies to those that missed out. Based on the success of this run though, all my future normal raids will very likely include some of these training elements. Honestly, thank you so much to all the participants in this first "training" run. You guys did amazing and were the biggest reason this was a successful and enjoyable experience. Props to you! Time: 1hr 57mins Grade: A
