Well that sucks to hear. It does suck that having a mental disorder is basically criminalized. It also doesn't help the situation that you're putting mentally ill people - who require a great deal if patience to deal with - in the same facility run by people who basically have to use force. It's like using the wrong tools for the wrong problem. If police need to use force against actual criminals, then so be it. But when the guards have to deal with people that they're probably not well equipped to handle, tensions are going to get high for both parties and problems (as we've seen) will occur.
