I used to hate Titans like you...
When I first starting playing Destiny, the obvious choice for me was out of a Warlock and a Hunter. I figured that people who liked Warlock were a sophisticated people. We were those who enjoyed asking questions, knowledge, mystery, art and enlightenment.
Hunters were people who liked adventure and discovery, stealth and challenge.
But Titan players? Titan players were clearly uneducated and uncouth. A people to avoid. They were those who always took the easy way out.
Afterall, why else would somebody pick a Titan and go into PvP with a Shotgun? Who else could enjoy running around the map punching people in the mouth, barging them and kneeing them mid air? Panic Fist of Havoc and dancing in their bubble on a flag then tea-bagging anyone who enters after certain death? These people must be the dregs of society.
Or so I thought...
Outside of PvP, the Titans are very useful! I am always in awe of the tools that they have to protect other guardians. Most of all in the Raid. I am actually dismayed if we have less than two Titans on the team.
But there is more to Titans than their part in the game. The people who pick Titans - the real life person - the players behind the Titans; are the nicest people that you can find!
I'm dead serious! I was just looking at my friend list and I came to realise that the people who have made the best conversation, been the most helpful, made me laugh the most, encouraged me when I have struggled; have all been Titan players.
Titan players are not only very useful in the game, but they are very intelligent people who know how to have fun and they are simply a joy to be around!
Take a moment to look at your own Destiny friends. Let's see if its just me or not. I have a feeling that it won't only be me who sees this. Titan players can troll you hard in PvP but they are really nice guys!
Beneath all of that argy-bargy bravado, beneath the heavy armour and testosterone lies a real heart of gold. Without Titan players, the community would be at a huge loss. They are to our credit and they are the needle that sews together the very fabric of our community.
They built the wall around the Last City. And I can assure you that when the Darkness returns, we will be in need of every Titan that we can find.

But now I have come to love them and they are my best friends. If you haven't got a Titan buddy yet, I implore you to find a few. You won't regret it!
Perhaps, just like the [url=http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/Unfriendly_Giant]Unfriendly Giant[/url], Titan players are simply misunderstood. Or perhaps a little shy (although more often than not a little overconfident).
But who could blame them? They make everything look easy, but they are really working hard to protect and look after us all.
Titans, you have my thanks and my respect. I celebrate you. I salute you.

Big bump! You are always welcome to my bubble and weapons of light sir! I'm the only titan on my raid team. 4 hunters 1 warlock 1 titan(me). We joke around about master classes and whatnot but the real master class is classy players like you! Stay awesome my friend!

... And then the devs release stuff like the raid helmet and glasshouse for titans! Beeing a lvl 32 titan sucks because the look of many newer parts is horrible. And the titan raid armor in general is a mess. Who ever designed it did a bad job! I mean seriously why hell does the helmet look like a sad cat?

I thank you, sir. All of the bashing on which class is best is quite the annoyance. Every class is great in its own way. I run 3 Titans: a striker, a defender, and a balanced Titan. My one friend runs 3 warlocks, and my other runs 3 hunters. We all chose our three favorite characters, and used what we do best with. What's the point of having a class that you are nowhere near an expert with? I love my titans, and I feel I help the team more using the class I do best with.

Titan. Is my main and only class. I don't care about the brute force or even the punching frenzy. What I care is about support for my team. I remember playing once, was on a fire team with with a warlock and hunter. Im always giving support, keeping an eye on my homies. If I saw one in a punch, I break from my front and run to assist. By the end of that match and now matches, I had about 11 revives compared to their 1. This is why I chose to be a titan. We stand firm, reinforce our allies, push forward, repeat.

3 RepliesI am a Titan, and this is a common misunderstanding of our ways. Yes, we seem brute-ish, yes we are rough and like the larger weapons and armor. But what we do is more than just wield cudgels and grunt like barbarians; we are your wall. We are the ones that will remain standing when all others fall around us, and we will be the ones to pick you back up again. Rushing head first into the enemy is more than just us being selfish and wanting all the kills, it makes our allies push on faster alongside us. Titans encourage rapid force into enemy lines;we're the pointed tip of the spear. Yes, our Fists of Havoc can be used in desperate, panic situations... But more importantly, they can be used to crush large groups of enemies and leave DoTs to hold off waves of them. Yes, our Bubbles are great for camping and mocking your foes outside while you wait with a shotgun, but they're also great for giving your allies overshields and more damage output, which encourages them to all rush out and crush the enemy with ease. Titans are like Fortress's... and Fortress's are more than just castle walls waiting silently for war. They are schools, trading posts, monuments. Vessels for life. At least, that is how I see it. 4 RepliesHello fellow guardian, As a titan i always thought i pulled the shortest straw, with the hunter class being fast and powerfull, and the warlocks with balance and massive super. This however pushed me to become better than them, more powerfull and more helpfull, however it wasn't until defender subclass i saw the true use of the titan, protection and lots of it. It is good to see fellow guardians make use of your bubble, and be able to remain active in the battle. so in the end i didn't pull the shortest straw and forged myself into a treath for my enemies. So don't make up your mind before you got a chance to expirience it yourself. I will remember your kind words, when i plant my knee in an enemies face. A Titan player

5 RepliesTitans definitely are the underappreciated cornerstones of the most successful pve teams. It's always nice to see somebody who understands that. I mean, when you go down and I run across the entire battlrfield through all the enemies to revive you, I don't need a thank you, but it's nice when I get one, even if I can't hear it. Titans unite!

From what ive seen titans are friendly and helpful, hunters are crazy and funny and warlocks are the tryhards but tend to be pretty useful in raid/nightfall

I read a post talking about the classes and it stated that the titans are the bros of combat. Made me laugh a little . I play Titan alot if your on Xbox my gt is same as name.
