Nathan paced around his room. She told him that she would update him in an hour on her patrol. Its been two and a half hours. What if the dregs got to her? What if her ship engines died mid warp? Nathan heard a knock on his door. Could that be her?!? Did her comms die? So many things went through his head as he rushed to the door. He opened it up and what he saw confused him greatly. A man in a black jewel crusted robe and boots with white wrapped gloves and a strange gold gauntlet was standing at his door with another man, and awoken who was wearing the same thing but his robes were gold. "Nathan Wiles?" Asked the black robed man. "Yes." He replied. The awoken man shifted uncomfortably and frowned at him. He looked at Nathan and said " We are sorry to tell you but we found your friend, Samantha. She...is no longer with us." Nathan stumbled back. It felt like he had been flattened by a ship. He started hyperventilating. No he told himself. No. No. No... Tears started welling in his eyes. "Shes...dead?" Nathan couldn't breath. He clawed at his face.  "Yes." The dark dressed man said to him. Nathan sobbed into his hands. "Not for long though. That is why we came here. What if I told you that I could bring her back?" Nathan shot up. "You have her Ghost?!?!" He exclaimed. The awoken held out his hand and dropped a smashed and broken Ghost on the floor. His heart dropped and he shook with pain. "How can-" "Come with us, let me show you." The self-proclaimed black knight in shining armor directed Nathan through the door. Nathan got up and left with his newfound "Fireteam". His heart, black from his sorrow found a smile inkling of hope.      "Who exactly are you two?" Nathan asked while boarding their ship. "I am called Anubis, this is my assistant and friend Aaru." Anubis told Nathan whilst sitting down in his lounge chair in the common area aboard the "Draught of Nectar". Nathan took of his belt and pulled set it on a table near him. His knife making a distinct rap on the glass. That knife was a gift from Samantha on his birthday a couple of days ago. Thats when.....he couldn't hold that thought. It felt like his heart was going to burst and he was going to vomit blood. He glanced over at Anubis and tried to calm himself and noticed a signet ring on his left hand. "You serve the Cult of Osiris?" He asked after taking a breath. "I am the top researcher and scientist, yes. I have quite the....reputation within our organization." Anubis asked while raising an eyebrow at Nathans behavior. "Why do they call you Anubis?" Nathan asked curiously. Anubis laughed "You will see soon enough."      The ship slowed down to a hover and lowered. "We are here." Anubis and ushered Nathan out the door. "Why wasnt I materialized out?" Nathan asked. "Where is my Ghost?" Anubis threw something in front of Nathan. It was his Ghost. Shattered. "There are no connections to the  Tower here. You want your friend-" "My fiancée. Samantha is my fiancée." Nathan said with a shaking tone as he stepped over his Ghost with his eyes burning from holding back flows of tears. "That means if I die.." Nathans chest felt heavy and fear rose in him."Dont worry." Anubis said. "You wont need it anymore when I am done." Nathan gasped. "What?! What is it exactly that you are going to do. Where are going? We have been walking through this place forever. Where are we?" Aaru spoke up. "This is The Lighthouse. It is the hub of research and development for Osiris. We are on Mercury. Anubis and I are the head of the research division. We are heading to the Duat. That is what we call our laboratory." Nathan nodded his head. "Okay...where is Samantha?" Nathan asked with an agitated voice.  Aaru put his hand on Nathan's shoulder. "Dont worry. Members of our team took her and are getting her prepped and ready." "Ready for what?" Nathan asked. "Her rebirth." Anubis stated with a heavy tone.
