Red Death not worth it

I bought Red Death this weekend from Xur. I am not a huge pulse rifle guy but I had heard good things. The first thing I noticed was the exceedingly slow RoF. The second was it's terrible sight. Some of its abilities when leveled are nice, but it is still sub par when compared to Suros. I will be sticking with Suros or my legendary hand cannons for my characters. I will probably end up breaking down Red Death.
