Write your guardian's story

The title pretty much sums up what this thread is about, I want this post to be a place where people write their guardians story because I enjoy reading them. If this post becomes popular I'm going to make it a series where the community can write the next installment to their story. If I have time I'm going to try and reed every story up until the point where I post another part of the thread. If you read my story then feel free to give your honest opinion, criticism can only help me become a better writer. The Exo stood atop the tower, admiring the beauty of the traveller. The rays of light barely seeping through the edges of its silhouette, the orange hue of clouds sailing over the mountains in the horizon, and the bustling city market no more than a thousand feet below the traveller. It was a sight to see. "I don't understand what the big deal is," the Exo turned to face the familiar voice, "All I see is an artificial moon hovering too close to the city." "The traveller is the reason for my existence, Alice," said the Exo, "I owe my life to its protection." "You're right Hatter." replied Alice, a little ashamed of her previous statement, "Where would I be without you?" "Dead, you're lucky we met when we did. What were you doing in the bar anyway? It was no place for an awoken child." "I was searching for food, Hatter. We've been over this a hundred times, I'm not a little girl anymore..." The two sat in silence for a moment as the Hatter took time to think. After a few seconds he finally began, "You're right, you've come a long way since you were a child. But you know I will always be there to protect you, whether you want me to or not." "Yes I know." Although she might not care to admit it, Hatter is the only person Alice trusts. And it's true, without him she would probably be long dead without anyone to morn for her. Well except maybe her grandmother, although she would have no way of knowing her granddaughter's passing. You see, Alice was an orphan ever since her family died in a fire caused by thieves, her family was very wealthy and many people tried to take what was theirs. A mere two years after Alice was born, they were finally successful. Alice went to go change, leaving Hatter to his thoughts, and his memories. So there he stood, staring still at the traveller in all its glory. But it was getting dark, there was no moon in the sky, and all he could see when he looked to the the city was a shadow. So he began to review his memories, he thought back to his oldest memory, which honestly wasn't all too long ago. It was maybe seven years before he met Alice, she was ten when Hatter first saved her and she is now eighteen. Fifteen... Only fifteen years had passed since he had awoken, although his wisdom remained, hatter had no recollection of any occurrences that had happened before then. "Are you ready?" Alice had returned dressed in her full huntress attire, "I'm sure Rabbit is tired of waiting." Sorry it was short if you thought it was. Again criticism is appreciated, and please don't hesitate to write your own story in the comments. Also tell me if you liked it, I want to know if I should continue with this.
